Who we are

National Integration through Sweet festival

CLIC organizes thematic events for integration of communities providing a platform by facilitating large scale participation of various communities living in particular metropolitan cities. The events are organized under coordination of local Government departments in that particular city.

Department of Tourism & Culture Govt of Telangana along with CLIC (Culture, Language Indian Connect)* is changing the perception of the large-scale Sweet Festival from various States & regions of India by *encouraging & promoting their women Homemakers settled in our Hyderabad with unique home-made dishes.

Govt of Telangana & CLIC have been quite successful in this for 4 years in the past as it drew a huge crowd of more than 3-4 lakhs each day of the festival with lots of appreciation from all sections of Society as well as media attention. *This year’s edition of Telangana's International SweetFest - ISF will definitely be one to remember!

Along with Sweets & Kite Festival, Cultural programs from various states & their unique cultures will go on simultaneously in the evening from 6pm to 9pm, during *this festival from 13th -15th January 2025

  • Cultural Exchange: Showcasing India's rich cultural heritage and encouraging cross-cultural understanding.
Festival Highlights
  • 1000+ Varieties of Sweets: Display and sale of traditional sweets prepared by women from various states.
  • Inter-State Cultural Programs: Music, dance, and cultural performances showcasing India's diversity.
  • Traditional Dress Code: Women participants dressed in traditional attire enhance the festive atmosphere.
Unique Aspects

This festival brings together women from various states residing in Hyderabad, allowing them to prepare and sell traditional sweets from their home states. It promotes women's empowerment, cultural exchange, and national integration.

Participation Details
  • Eligibility: Open to housewives only; business participants are not allowed.
  • Sweet Limit: Each participant can prepare and sell a maximum of 3 sweets.
  • Event Timing: 3 PM to 10 PM daily.
  • Expected Footfall: Over 10 lakh visitors are anticipated.
What We Provide
  • Venue: Parade Grounds, Hyderabad
  • Plug Points: For connecting ovens and induction cookers
  • Stalls: Provided for displaying and selling sweets
  • Dinner: Complimentary for all participants
  • Note: Sweets must be prepared at home and brought to the venue.
